No matter what platform you use there will always be changes. Sometimes it feels like its always for the worst. In the news today we have changes that can effect Walmart and Ebay sellers.
Let’s start with Walmart. Walmart has all of a sudden started completly gating certain categories without warning. It seems to mainly be in the consumables categories at the moment. Categories effected Food supplements, health and wellness, baby consumables, some pet food products, beauty products and toys. They only want autorized Brands selling these products now. Some sellers had hundreds of items removed overnight. What a nightmare for sellers.
Now on to what is going on with Ebay. I am told that they are testing a new feature on auctions. So pay attention if you still do auctions. I only do them very rarely as they seem to get no bids or only one. They are rolling out and testing a new feature where buyers have up to 7 days to pay. They can also cancel at anytime durign this time. It does not matter if you have your settings to must pay with in 4 days. The new system will override this. So not only will you have to wait longer to get paid. You might also never gte paid if they cancel. Also it may be inconvinent to ship when they finally do sell. What if you have a vacation planned or something comesup and you can’t ship after they finally pay. This just opens sellers up to more issues. We are on so many restrictions to ship on time and then this sets the timer based on when the buyer pays.
